Waiting...

A shelf full of bulbs in the fridge, as the rain falls outside. Soil becomes mud. One can only hope a full week with no rain and a weekend day at the end of it is on the horizon. The Dutch Iris bulbs need no chill..so they are in the garage--sprouting.

  1. I hope that's not an apple on the top shelf.

    1. Regrettably, it is Les ! I have to say though, I have pretty good turnover in apples and have never had an issue with bulbs in their proximity in many years of bulb-fridging.

  2. How brave to share the contents of your fridge! Often I have more shelves of seeds sprouting than food for meals...
I'm very fond of Dutch Iris but must be careful not to weed them out because they resemble grass in spring.

    1. Ours start to come up in December Marie, so they are robust and unmistakeable in spring.

  4. It's funny to think that you have bulb planting on your agenda. Nothing like that going on here.

    1. I hope it's on my agenda Michelle, the rains don't seem inclined to stop and it's a real mud-fest in my garden !

  5. Better than drought. No matter how muddy, no matter how dreary, anything is better than drought.
