My Favorite Plant in the Garden This Week

Pelargonium schizopetalum ...very difficult to get a decent photo of this guy, but the bloom time is an Event here. This was purchased several years ago from Robin Parer .

Love the foliage too...

Different light.

  1. That's not just a set of decent photos, they're marvelous. One to look for next year. I love that wispy flower and fuzzy foliage.

    1. Thanks Alison, if you use a green plant as the background you can barely see the bloom !

  2. Those are some CRAZY blooms for a Pelargonium. No wonder it's your fave this week. It's hard to tell how large they are, but totally wild!!

    1. I originally bought it for the foliage Loree..I think I had it 2 years before it bloomed.

  5. When I saw the picture of the bloom, I had to look back and check the name. I wouldn't have recognized this as a pelargonium based on the flower alone - it looks like some orchids I've seen. I'm going to have to scour Robin Parer's site more carefully for unusual offerings.
